Walking through its narrow streets means discovering picturesque corners, ancient mansions, and vantage points that offer unforgettable views. Here are the attractions not to be missed.

Vecchia Dogana and Casa Beust

In the heart of Torbole’s old port are two buildings symbolic of the town’s mercantile past: the Old Customs House and the Beust House. The Vecchia Dogana, built in the 18th century, was the control point for commercial traffic between Lake Garda and inland routes. Today it hosts exhibitions and cultural initiatives, offering a window into the history of the village. Casa Beust, with its colorful facade overlooking the small harbor, is one of the most photographed buildings in Torbole. This historic building, once the residence of fishermen and merchants, today represents one of the town’s most picturesque corners, perfect for a stroll along the lakefront at sunset.

Church Sant’Andrea

A jewel of sacred architecture, the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle stands on a small rise overlooking the historic center of Torbole. Its origins date back to the 12th century, but the present structure is the result of a Baroque-style renovation in the 17th century. The interior is embellished with marble altars, paintings, and gilded decorations, while the frescoed ceiling depicts episodes from the life of St. Andrew, patron saint of fishermen. From the square in front of the church, there is a panoramic view of Lake Garda, making it a must-see for those visiting Torbole.

Busatte-Tempesta Scenic Trail

For hiking enthusiasts, the Busatte-Tempesta Trail is one of the most spectacular routes in Garda Trentino. This trail connects the resort of Busatte to Tempesta with a breathtaking route that winds along sheer cliffs overlooking the lake. The trail features metal walkways and scenic stairways, providing unique views of the lake’s crystal-clear waters and surrounding mountains. Suitable for both experienced hikers and families, the trail is about 5 km long and offers numerous rest stops where you can admire the natural beauty of the area. The trail can be hiked year-round, but it is at its best in spring and fall, when the weather is mild and the vegetation is in full bloom.

Castel Penede

On the heights of Nago, just minutes from Torbole, are the striking remains of Castel Penede, one of the oldest fortifications in the area. The castle, of medieval origin, was built as a defensive bulwark during the rule of the Prince-Bishops of Trento. Over the centuries, it underwent several destructions and reconstructions, until its final ruin in the 17th century. Today, its panoramic ruins offer a vantage point over Lake Garda and the valley below. The ascent to the castle, via a path surrounded by greenery, is an evocative experience that allows you to breathe in the history of this land and enjoy an unforgettable panorama.
